Justin and Laura’s wedding was one for the history books. Set in the beautiful Tweed Valley, just near the Border Ranges National park, this wedding day happened to be a record breaker in terms of January heat. The mercury topped 42 degrees, many of the New Zealand guests commenting that they had never experienced heat like that in their lives (me neither)! While Laura was getting ready trying to retain as much make-up as she could with fans going constantly (no aircon unfortunately), Justin and the groomsmen were off swimming in a natural spring and taking trips into the cold room just to try and stay cool.
Despite the extremes in the weather, Justin and Laura’s wedding at Silk Pavilions was a stunner. The beautiful location was a gorgeous backdrop for this Tweed Vally wedding.
This is what Laura had to say about the Photography:
“Justin knows Krista from CrossFit here in Brisbane and had often spoken about her amazing photography skills – even prior to us getting engaged. While standing on the balcony of Silk Pavilions the very first time that we visited the property, Justin was on his phone emailing Krista within minutes of arriving to make sure she was available for the date that we wanted to lock in! I totally and utterly trusted Justin’s decision from the very beginning about asking Krista to be our photographer and it is the best decision (apart from marrying me) that he has ever made. From the first time that we sat down with Krista to discuss what thoughts we had for our big day right up to receiving all of the photos from her the whole experience has been nothing short of a pleasure and we could not recommend Krista Martin Photography highly enough.”
